Rob & Diane have a passion for dance and a passion for people, traveling extensively to over 20 countries, teaching and performing for over 30 years. They have made it their life mission to share our rich American Dance culture, it's roots and social place in our community by making it fun, easy to learn and accessible to all!

Rob, originally from Holland, met Diane in the mid 1990’s. They were there from the very beginnings of the revival of Swing. They worked side to side and with the original masters of the Swing Era dances. Many call them trendsetters and their knowledge and their teaching methods have helped rekindle the new Swing Movement and inspired a whole new generation of dancers and teachers around the world. They built and operated a successful weekly Swing Dance Club scene in San Francisco, filled with live music, live people and lots of dancing - bringing in up to 300 of enthusiast a night. They produced International Dance Camps starting in 1992. While running a busy travel schedule, they provided entertainment to large and small corporations, produced events and workshops while running their own performance group "The Swing Cats Rhythm Revue”.

Rob turning Diane's world upside down!

Eight years ago they settled, together with their 2 kids, in New Braunfels with its traditional family values and southern hospitality. They say that it is one of the best places in the world to call home and have been building their inclusive happy dance family ever since. It also has an active live music scene for Country and Swing Dancing that is alive and kickin'. Most of Swing Junction's Country and Swing events and classes for adults and youth are held at the American Legion in New Braunfels and the Historic Hermann Sons Ballroom in San Antonio.
